This Cookie and Similar Technologies Policy (the “Cookie Policy”) governs the use of cookies and other technologies designed to store information on, or gain access to information already stored on, the terminal equipment of users when visiting websites or using online platforms operated by the AZURE TRAVEL entities.
This Cookie Policy forms an integral part of AZURE TRAVEL’s privacy and personal data protection framework and shall be read and interpreted in conjunction with the AZURE TRAVEL Privacy and Personal Data Protection Regulation.

With regard to the use of cookies and similar technologies in the context of activities governed by European Union and Greek law, AZURE TRAVEL P.C. shall comply, in particular, with:
- Regulation (EU) 2016/679 — the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”);
- Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector, as amended and transposed into Greek law;
- Greek Law No. 3471/2006 concerning the protection of personal data and privacy in the electronic communications sector;
- Greek Law No. 4624/2019 supplementing and implementing the GDPR;
- any other applicable provisions of European Union and Greek law.
In accordance with Article 4(5) of Greek Law No. 3471/2006, the storage of information or gaining access to information already stored in a user’s terminal equipment shall, as a general rule, be permitted only after the user has been provided with clear and comprehensive information and has given the required consent.
Consent shall not be required solely where the relevant storage of, or access to, information:
a) is carried out for the sole purpose of transmitting or facilitating the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network; or
b) is strictly necessary in order to provide an information society service expressly requested by the user.

In respect of activities governed by the laws of the Republic of Moldova, the applicable legal framework includes, in particular:
- Law No. 195/2024 on Personal Data Protection;
- the legislation of the Republic of Moldova governing electronic communications and the confidentiality of communications;
- secondary legislation and other regulatory instruments adopted pursuant to the foregoing legislation.
In accordance with the applicable Moldovan legislation governing electronic communications, the use of electronic communications networks for the purpose of storing information on, or accessing information stored on, the terminal equipment of a subscriber or user is subject to the provision of clear and comprehensive information concerning the purposes of such processing.
The statutory exception applies to technical storage or access used exclusively for the transmission of a communication or where such storage or access is strictly necessary for the provision of an information society service expressly requested by the user.
2. DEFINITION OF COOKIES
Cookies are small files or sets of data stored on, or accessed from, a user’s terminal equipment, including a computer, mobile telephone, tablet or other connected device, when the user visits a website or uses an online service.
For the purposes of this Cookie Policy, references to “cookies” shall, where appropriate, also include technologies performing substantially similar functions, including online identifiers, local storage technologies, pixels, tags, software development kits (“SDKs”) and other technical mechanisms through which information is stored on, or accessed from, a user’s device.
3. PURPOSES FOR WHICH COOKIES MAY BE USED
AZURE TRAVEL uses, or may use, cookies solely in connection with functionalities actually implemented on its website and for one or more of the following purposes:
- ensuring the technical operation of the website;
- maintaining the security of the website and user sessions;
- storing user preferences;
- recording users’ choices regarding cookies;
- improving website functionality;
- measuring website traffic and performance;
- analysing the use of the website;
- evaluating the effectiveness of advertising and marketing campaigns;

4. CATEGORIES OF COOKIES
4.1. Strictly Necessary Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are cookies without which the website, or a service expressly requested by the user, cannot operate properly.

Marketing, advertising and behavioural advertising cookies shall not be regarded as strictly necessary cookies.
Such cookies shall only be used following the user’s prior consent where such consent is required under applicable law.
A user’s refusal to accept marketing cookies shall not prevent access to the essential functionalities of the website and shall not prevent the user from making a booking.
5. FIRST-PARTY AND THIRD-PARTY COOKIES
Depending on the party placing or accessing a cookie, cookies may be classified as follows:
a) First-party cookies — cookies placed or controlled directly through the AZURE TRAVEL domain visited by the user.
b) Third-party cookies — cookies placed or accessed by an external service provider through the AZURE TRAVEL website.
Third-party cookies shall only be used in accordance with their stated purposes and the requirements of applicable law.
Where consent is legally required, third-party cookies shall not be activated before the user has provided the requisite consent.
6. USER CONSENT
Where consent constitutes the applicable legal requirement for the use of a cookie or similar technology, AZURE TRAVEL shall obtain such consent before the relevant technology is placed, accessed or activated.
Consent must be:
- freely given;
- specific;
- informed;
- unambiguous;
- expressed by means of a clear affirmative action.
The following shall not constitute valid consent:
- merely accessing the website;
- continuing to browse the website;
- inactivity or silence on the part of the user;
- pre-ticked boxes;
- default settings which result in the automatic acceptance of optional cookies.
Users shall be provided with a genuine and effective opportunity to accept or reject non-essential cookies.
7. CONSENT MANAGEMENT MECHANISM
The cookie management interface shall enable users, as applicable, to:
- accept non-essential cookies;
- reject non-essential cookies;
- select individual categories of cookies;
- amend previously expressed preferences;
- withdraw previously given consent.
The option to reject non-essential cookies shall be genuine, readily accessible and effective.
AZURE TRAVEL shall not make the ability to complete a booking or use essential website functionality conditional upon the acceptance of marketing cookies.
8. WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT
Users may withdraw their consent to non-essential cookies at any time through the cookie preference management mechanism made available on the website.
The mechanism for withdrawing consent shall be reasonably accessible to the user.
Withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out prior to such withdrawal.
Following withdrawal, AZURE TRAVEL shall cease any subsequent activation of cookies in respect of which consent has been withdrawn. Depending on their technical characteristics, cookies already stored on the user’s device may need to be deleted through the cookie preference management mechanism or through the user’s browser settings.
9. DURATION OF COOKIES
Cookies may be classified according to their duration as follows:
Session cookies are used for the duration of a particular browsing session and are generally deleted when the browser is closed.
Persistent cookies remain stored on the user’s device for a predetermined period or until they are deleted by the user.
The duration of each cookie shall be proportionate to the purpose for which it is used and shall not exceed the period reasonably necessary to achieve that purpose.
The precise duration of cookies actually used on the website shall be specified in the technical cookie register or other cookie information made available to users.
10. CATEGORIES OF DATA THAT MAY BE PROCESSED
Depending on the technologies actually implemented on the website, cookies may result in the processing of information including:

Where AZURE TRAVEL implements technologies for remarketing, behavioural advertising or online profiling, such technologies shall be used exclusively in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
In particular, where such technologies involve the use of non-essential cookies or access to information stored on the user’s terminal equipment, they shall only be activated after valid consent has been obtained from the user, where required by applicable law.
The fact that a user makes a booking through AZURE TRAVEL shall not, in itself, constitute consent to advertising profiling, remarketing, behavioural advertising or the use of marketing cookies.
12. THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS AND DATA PROCESSING RESPONSIBILITIES
Certain technologies used on the website may be provided by third-party service providers.
Depending on the factual circumstances, purposes and means of the relevant processing activities, such providers may act as:
- processors acting on behalf of a controller;
- independent controllers;
- joint controllers.
Their legal status shall be determined by reference to their actual role in the relevant processing activity and the requirements of applicable data protection law.
AZURE TRAVEL shall, to the extent required by applicable law, assess the service providers and data processing mechanisms implemented through its website and shall put in place the appropriate contractual and organisational arrangements.
13. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL DATA
Where a provider of technologies associated with cookies processes personal data outside the relevant jurisdiction, any international transfer of personal data shall take place only in accordance with applicable law.
For processing activities subject to the GDPR, transfers of personal data to third countries shall be carried out, as applicable, on the basis of:
- an adequacy decision;
- appropriate safeguards;
- Standard Contractual Clauses;
- another lawful transfer mechanism recognised under the GDPR.
For processing activities carried out by AZURETRAVEL SOLUTIONS SRL, the requirements of Law No. 195/2024 and other applicable legislation of the Republic of Moldova shall apply.
14. MANAGEMENT OF COOKIES THROUGH BROWSER SETTINGS
Users may manage and delete cookies through the settings of the browser they use.
Depending on the functionality of the relevant browser, its settings may allow users to:
- view stored cookies;
- delete cookies;
- block particular categories of cookies;
- block third-party cookies;
- establish rules governing the storage of relevant information.
However, default browser settings that automatically permit cookies shall not, in themselves, constitute valid consent to the use of non-essential cookies where applicable law requires affirmative consent.
Disabling certain strictly necessary cookies through browser settings may affect the availability or proper functioning of certain website features.
15. RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS
Where information processed through cookies constitutes personal data, the data subject may, subject to the conditions, exceptions and limitations prescribed by applicable law, exercise the following rights:
- the right to be informed;
- the right of access;
- the right to rectification;
- the right to erasure;
- the right to restriction of processing;
- the right to object to processing;
- the right to data portability, where applicable;
- the right to withdraw consent;
- the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority;
- the right to seek judicial remedies available under applicable law.

16. COOKIE REGISTER
AZURE TRAVEL shall maintain an accurate and up-to-date register of the cookies and similar technologies actually used on the website.
For each relevant cookie or technology, the following information shall be specified, where applicable:
- the technical name of the cookie;
- the provider or entity supplying or administering the relevant technology;
- the domain from which the cookie is placed or accessed;
- the relevant category, namely strictly necessary, functional, analytics or marketing;
- the specific purpose for which it is used;
- whether it is a first-party or third-party cookie;
- its duration or retention period;
- the applicable basis for its use, namely technical necessity or user consent, as appropriate.
The Cookie Register shall at all times reflect the actual technical configuration of the website and the technologies actually deployed and used.
AZURE TRAVEL shall not classify as “strictly necessary” any cookie or similar technology which is, in fact, used for analytics, advertising, remarketing, profiling or any other purpose that is not objectively indispensable for the provision of a service expressly requested by the user.

18. AMENDMENTS TO THIS COOKIE POLIC
AZURE TRAVEL reserves the right to review, amend and update this Cookie Policy where necessary as a result of changes to:
- applicable legislation;
- guidance, decisions or practices of competent supervisory authorities;
- technologies used on the website;
- service providers;
- purposes of processing;
- the structure or functionality of the website.
Where new cookies requiring consent are introduced, or where the purpose of an existing technology is materially changed so that the consent previously obtained no longer covers the relevant processing, AZURE TRAVEL shall obtain renewed consent where required by applicable law.
The date of the most recent revision shall be indicated in the version of this Cookie Policy published on the website.
19. FINAL PROVISIONS
This Cookie Policy shall be read in conjunction with the AZURE TRAVEL Privacy and Personal Data Protection Regulation and forms part of AZURE TRAVEL’s overall privacy and personal data protection framework.
In the event of any inconsistency between this Cookie Policy and any mandatory provision of applicable law, the relevant mandatory provision of law shall prevail.
Nothing in this Cookie Policy shall be interpreted as limiting any rights afforded to data subjects under mandatory provisions of applicable data protection or electronic communications legislation.
This Cookie Policy shall enter into force on the date of its approval by AZURE TRAVEL.
